Questionable online pice for a product.

Online Loblaws offers Elmer rubber cement for $29.99 a bottle, or about that, but at Staples the same thing is on sale for $5.10, or so. Has Loblaws made a mistake with their price or are they deliberately overpricing?

Can't load my offers,

It has been months now that I've been unable to load my offers so I can save money which is very important to being a senior on a fixed income. I've tried changing my password etc.

& made several calls to the number on the card, but when I entre the information required & says the card in inactive when I use it over at Shoppers Drug Mart & the supper store but it works just fine. I've not been going to the location I love going too because it's out of my way simply because I can load my offers & get my points. I need someone to help me reset my account so I can load my offers & return to where I love doing my shopping.

I don't want to deal with any on line or phone trouble shooting as none of it has worked for me it's simply frustrates the *** out of me & I give up. I need someone to phone this loyal customer to help me reset my account.

Pros:
  • Trouble shooting by phone or on line totally useless
  • No customer service able to resolveble shooting totally useless
  • No customer service that is able to resolve my issues

Preferred solution: Easier access to customer service with someone to talk to other than a drone that's totally useless in my opinion.

User's recommendation: Don't bother calling any of the numbers or dealing with store clerks, as they can't help you either, they recommend you call the number on the back of the card.

An employee went above and beyond. I'd like to pass on a Kudos!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Today I visited Cain's Independent Grocery Store at North Hills Mall in Kamloops, B.C. Anne in customer service really went above and beyond the call of duty and helped me out in a pinch with a profound level of kindness that is just extremely rare in this day and age.

I won't be too specific as this is a public review and don't want to set the advantage takers upon her. Anne truly is a rare gem and so very precious in a time when most people seem to be a little too focussed on themselves. Thank you again, Anne! You are the best!

ANYWAY... if at all possible, I'd like a bit of a fuss made for this wonderful lady. We HAVE to look after these kinds of people because they are far too rare. Kindness perhaps should NOT be common, as it would only be taken for granted by the masses, but, for those few who go the extra mile, I think it would be wonderful if we went an extra ten miles for them as a thanks for being such a wonderful person.

Please, if there is some way you reward good employees for good attitude, great service and generosity, see what you can do for Anne. She is a true Gem. :) Thank you so much for your time and keep up the great work. I visit a couple other stores on occasion, but the vast majority of my grocery needs are brought to Independent!

:) Thank you for being there! - "DJ Pantha" (DifferNet Web Radio, British Columbia)

PC Ballpark Angus Hot Dogs

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I love most of the PC products I've tried. And I've had the Ball Park All Beef Frankfurters. But I have to tell you that these ANGUS All-Beef Frankfurters are one of the WORST hotdogs I've ever had. Maybe it was just the one package. But they were like biting into an eraser. They were Tough & Rubbery with a very unpleasant taste. Cooked 2 and barely finished the first. Thru the 2nd out along with the rest of the uncooked package. Certainly won't be purchasing those again!!!

I may have found an anomaly!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Upon opening my Waffles Club size pack, I found one cassette of 8 only had 7 waffles in it. The package was un-tampered with, I was just surprised to see it. I buy a boatload of waffles and have never witnessed that before. Just an oddity. Toasted up my waffles and enjoyed. Thanks Loblaws for keeping breakfast simple. Greg

Sale practices

I went in to buy a can of tomatoes which were on sale but only if you buy FOUR CANS!! What kind of practice is this. It used to be buy 2 cans which is reasonable but 4?Really why bother having sales when you force people to overspend especially silly since youve been making major profits since Covid. This practice of getting the sale price only when you buy more needs to stop!

Thieves

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Shoppers at Loblaws please pay attention to this company as how they can rip you off on a daily basis. What they are doing is advertising items that you need to buy multiple items in order to save.

They are already making a very good profit on each item. They get special from those companies selling them the products, and yet they still are ripping their clients who only buys one item at a time. Furthermore, they are taking advantage of people living alone or on a tight budget. When a consumer buy only one item, the store is making 20-30 % more profit.

To me, they are thieves, plain and simple. What they are doing is simply pushing volume. Look at the photos included here.

I have talked to a store manager, and she told me to go to the courtesy desk, and they will honor the price for one item at the half price for two. Years ago, Loblaws manipulated the price of bread and yet nothing as happened to them because of that.

Very poor product

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Loblaws Grocery Stores - Very poor product
I purchased approximately 1 1/2 K's of red grapes and they looked okay in the bag but when we took them out to wash them they were more than bad. I have photos if anyone is interested in seeing them. Most often in the past I have physically removed some of the grapes to judge their condition. With Covid I don't do that any longer out of respect for fellow shoppers. I mean who wants to see customers handling fruit in these times. I did send a message to Loblaws but the response wasn't very helpful and lacked a personal touch. Simply a PC generated response about posting my experience online. Can't really make any suggestions.
